Coalition to Keep America Connected Commends Adoption of USF Interim Cap

The Coalition to Keep America Connected today applauded the Federal Communications Commission s (FCC) recent Order implementing an interim cap on Universal Service Fund (USF) support for Competitive Eligible Telecommunications Carriers (CETCs).

"The coalition commends the FCC s adoption of the interim cap on CETC support.  The cap is a good first step in controlling the fastest growing part of the fund and ensuring USF dollars are used in an efficient way," said coalition spokesman and ITTA President Curt Stamp.

"As the FCC turns its focus to long-term reform, the coalition is committed to working with the FCC and others to ensure that long-term reform includes adequate support for the network in rural areas that will enable all Americans to have access to 21st century communications."
