   Who We Are

The Coalition to Keep America Connected is a broad coalition of school teachers, doctors, entrepreneurs, farmers, small business owners, grandmothers, communications and high-tech industry leaders, civic groups and organizations, and many others. Consumers from across the country who believe in the importance of keeping all Americans connected through affordable, cutting-edge telecommunications services and technologies are coming together with a single voice.

Our Mission

The Coalition to Keep American Connected is dedicated to ensuring that all consumers have access to affordable telecommunications services and the latest technologies - no matter where they live.

Guiding Principles

Together, we are working to keep America connected by urging policy-makers to adhere to three basic principles as they make modifications to the laws that govern communications in America:

  1. Fairness - Urban, suburban and rural consumers alike deserve to stay connected to their families, friends and the world through communications technologies.

  2. Affordability - Technology is only useful when it's affordable to consumers. Congress must ensure that all Americans can receive communications technologies at affordable prices.

  3. Access - Every American should have access to the latest, modern technologies, no matter where they live.
The Coalition to Keep America Connected effort is organized by The Independent Telephone & Telecommunications Alliance, National Telecommunications Cooperative Association, Organization for the Promotion and Advancement of Small Telecommunications Companies and the Western Telecommunications Alliance, whose memberships include more than 700 small and midsize communications companies. Together these companies serve millions of consumers and 40% of the landmass across America.
